Standing out

Or outstanding?

What distinguishes all winners is that they are willing to do things which the majority won't do.

Sometimes that's taking risks others won't, sometimes it's about making the commitments others won't, sometimes it's about investing the effort others won't.

What it's always about is developing the attitude that others don't. The self-belief, the vision, the passion.

Are you equipping yourself with the right attitude?

What have you done today to make you feel proud?

Winning is not about making trillions and being the biggest baddest dude out there.

Sure, without attention to financial outcomes, the rest of life can be pretty miserable.

But there's more to life - and more to business - than just beating up the opposition, and reaping the short-term rewards (good and bad).  Because the long-term consequences of that approach are pretty miserable too.

And as we all know, winning is usually not an "exclusive" activity.  When it is, it doesn't usually last long, or bring the wider gains of being a winner.  Winning needs to be "inclusive", even if it starts with self.

Winning in our language is about achieving your goals, whether they're financially-based, based on business growth (not always the same as financial prosperity) or simply getting the life you want.

So typically we would consider that winning - whatever the specific outcome involved for you - probably includes a big element of something that makes you feel proud.

And contrary to popular myth, pride is not a sin - it's possibly the essential driver (along with love) for all human endeavour.

So as you consider what 'winning' is for you personally, consider what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like for you, and how that affects those around you.

And what will you do tomorrow?
